The shortest book in the Old Testament, Obadiah carries with
it the most unrelentingly somber warning. God's anger is stirred
against the nation of Edom, and that anger is not tempered by hope of
redemption for the audience anywhere in the book's short twenty-one-verse
span. If it teaches us nothing else, it says to remain in the good
graces of the Living God!
