An Icon of the Apostles

Acts is not a Gospel in the sense of relating the life story of Christ. It is grouped here with the Gospels for two reasons. First, it would have to stand alone otherwise as a history book. Second, and more significantly, Acts records the manner in which the Gospel spread from a tiny band of followers to much of the Mediterranean world.
